The competitive season is in full swing, and nowhere more so than the SanSan North - SF Bay Area Megacity tournament at Game Kastle Santa Clara on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday May 17!
Entry fee will be ~$50 total to cover both days paid to the organizer. Cash or Venmo. Financial assistance is available - we want everyone to be able to play. Message zhansonic on the SanSan North discord and we’ll get it sorted out.
This is a Competitive level tournament in the Standard format. Decklists are required. You will be able to submit NetrunnerDB decklists through the Cobra software when you register. Alternatively, you can find blank and form-fillable decklist templates at the NSG organizer downloads. Some blank decklists will be available day-of.
We will run 7 rounds of Single Sided Swiss on Saturday. On Sunday, we will run a Top-8 double elimination top cut, along with side events and prizing. Each round will be 40 minutes. We will aim to wrap up Swiss around 6:00 pm on Saturday, and the Top Cut around 7:00 on Sunday. There will be a ~1 hour lunch break after round 2.
Each round will be 40 minutes except the finalist rounds of the Top Cut, which will not be timed.
Both days, registration opens at 10:00 am and games begin at 10:30 am. There will be a 1 hour lunch break after round 2.

On Friday night, we will host a casual social get-together at a nearby brewpub or bar. Details TBD.
On Sunday, we will be running three side events: an 8 player Netrunner draft cube, a casual-level Startup tournament, and drop-in historical duel decks.
Draft cube: This event will start between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. Players will draft runner cards, then corp cards. Then, there will be a 1 hour lunch break around 1:30 pm, then players will play three rounds of 80 minute Double Sided Swiss, finishing around 7:00 pm. Pre-registration required (by EOD Saturday). Startup tournament: Registration will begin around 10:00 am, and games will begin between 10:30 am and 11:00 am to allow time for people who are helping with deck checks for the Top Cut. Historical duel decks: Decks will be available for pick-up-and-play all day Sunday. Drop in and get some games in! More details to come.
ALL players attending on Sunday will receive 4 prize tickets. Prize tickets can be exchanged for alt art playsets and other Netrunner accessories or general gaming supplies.
The draft cube will award additional prize tickets.
The startup tournament will be run using the basic H1 Casual Tournament Kit.

For each game completed with the historical duel decks, both players will receive 1 prize ticket.
Players who only attend on Saturday will receive a surprise prize pack of multiple alt art playsets at the end of the day on Saturday.
There also will be an “artist colony” run during Saturday and Sunday - drop off your alt arts, and the organizers will sell them while you play.
The venue is a 10 minute walk from the Santa Clara Caltrain station.
You can park in the Game Kastle Santa Clara parking lot or on any of the side streets such as Brokaw Road, which have 8 hour free street parking.
The Game Kastle Santa Clara allows outside food, so feel free to pack a lunch or dinner. The Game Kastle Santa Clara also has some snacks and drinks (e.g. Gatorade) for sale, and instant ramen.
We plan to have jugs of water available to refill your water bottles.
Food options within walking distance include:
Chicken Meets Rice (Asian casual, good price. Tofu available. Hainan chicken approved by Wikignometry)
Men-Bei Ramen (affordable ramen option)

Costco
There are also several restaurants along El Camino Real that are a little too far to walk (20-30 minutes) but well within a short driving distance.
